OCD Therapy

Maybe you have unwanted thoughts that feel uncharacteristic of your values?

Maybe your intrusive thoughts cause you to question those values?

Maybe your distressing thoughts lead you to engage in uncontrollable compulsions?

Maybe your compulsions are not seen on the outside but look more like overthinking or “mental checks”?

Maybe you and your loved ones are exhausted from the hoops that need to be jumped through just to get through your dad-to-day.

Throughout my years in treating eating disorders I quickly realized that OCD was a co-occurring struggle for clients. As I’ve refined my training for the treatment of OCD I’ve found I also really enjoy working with clients whose primary struggle is OCD itself. The two main modalities I use to treat clients is Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT). ERP helps clients connect with their authentic values and engage in exposures to help reduce the compulsion response. I-CBT helps clients understand that OCD uses its own set of data to convince them that a “what if” possibility is reality (when it’s actually not).

I would love to work alongside you in overcoming the mental, emotional, and physical barriers OCD presents. Your intrusive thoughts and quirky compulsion don’t scare me!
