psychoTHERAPY SERVICES
INDIVIDUAL therapy
Sometimes life throws curveballs that are difficult to navigate or cope through. Other times life takes expected or planned out turns and yet those new chapters can still be filled with anxiety, stress, sadness, grief, or anger. I use an Emotion Focused approach to help clients listen to what their emotions are trying to tell them (with some psychoeducation on the brain and emotions) along with offering coping skills to help them cope through the emotional weight of their experiences.
Possible areas of focus: Eating struggles, trauma, OCD, struggles to connect within relationships, anxiety, or depression.
Family therapy for eating disorder support
When a family member is struggling with an eating disorder, it can affect the whole family unit. This can often bring distress not only to the family member struggling but to everyone else in the unit. Relationships are vital to our daily living. I use Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) to help family members learn how to heal and respond to each other in healthy ways. I also use psycho education on where eating disorders come from, how to recover from them, and what the family unit needs to do to heal as a whole.
Possible areas of focus: Family support for family member with an eating disorder, meal support, or what “not-to-do” when your family member is struggling with an eating disorder.
Parent coaching
Sometimes parents and caregivers find they need another perspective and professional tools when children bring out the most challenging sides of parenting. I use my years of experience in working with parents and caregivers to help offer boundary techniques, communication skills, and care-giving strategies.
Possible areas of focus: Coaching parent(s) in how to respond to child with behavioral issues, how to support a child with an eating disorder, or how to create boundaries with technology.

I am an out-of-network provider and am not in contract with any insurance companies. However I can provide you with a statement called a “superbill” at the end of each month that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part.
Why I’ve chosen a private pay-model for your care. Therapy should be guided by what’s best for you, not by insurance rules or restrictions. By choosing a private-pay model, we can tailor our sessions entirely to your needs, set the pace that feels right, and protect your privacy without insurance dictating it for you. This means more flexibility in how we work together, no surprise limits on the number of sessions, and a focus on building lasting, meaningful progress.
Additionally, due to insurance company reimbursement rates decreasing, clinicians now need to see more clients in order to cover the cost of living, business overhead, and paying off therapy school loans. With more clients on the caseload the more the burnout. I am committed to giving quality care to my clients and a big part of that is eliminating the stresses that come with being paneled with insurance companies.
Frequently Asked Questions about billing
-
Your card will be kept on file and charged at the time of session. Payments are usually processed within 24 hours after session.
-
A superbill is a detailed receipt of your therapeutic services. This can be submitted to your insurance company via “out of network benefits.” Around 30 days after superbill submission clients receive a check with reimbursement of their sessions.
On an average I see my clients receive 80% back in reimbursement through a superbill, depending on the insurance plan and company.
Not all insurance plans reimburse for superbills. It is recommended that you call your insurance company and ask about your out-of-network benefits.

Yes, I keep three sliding scale spots in my calendar at all times. Please reach out with any questions regarding sliding scale availability/waitlist.
You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your health care will cost. Thanks to the No Surprises Act passed in 2021 by Congress, patients now know how much their treatment will cost with no surprises. Just as it should be!
